Black Barn Tuki Tuki Hawke’s Bay Sauvignon Blanc 2010

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 14-Sep-2011
Brilliant pale straw-yellow colour, this has a fresh, intense and concentrated bouquet of fresh garden herbs, nettles and gooseberries along with green beans and minerals. Dry to taste, this is full-bodied and weighty with rich, lush, sweet-fruited gooseberry flavours intermingling with herbs and nettles. The palate is open and accessible, with moderate, soft acidity, enhancing the juiciness of flavours, and the wine has a moderately sustained, fulsome finish. Fruit from the Tuki Tuki Valley, fermented to 13.5% alc., a portion in French oak barriques. An attractively sweet-fruited wine to serve with seafood, vegetables and poultry now and over the next 2-3+ years. 18.0+/20 Sep 2011 RRP $25.90
