Very dark, deep, ruby-red colour with black hues, lighter on the rim. The nose is very fine and concentrated with intense and fragrant aromas of blackberries, red liquorice and redcurrant fruit entwined with complexing dark red floral, black mineral, tar and lifted, nutty oak elements. Medium-full bodied, rich, vibrant and lusciously juicy flavours of ripe dark red and black berried fruits are the feature on the palate. Spice elements, red liquorice and redcurrant nuances add to the detail. The fruit vitality is balanced by very fine-grained tannin extraction, and enhanced by fresh, ripe acidity. The palate balances fruit richness, fragrance, spice and structure and has excellent linearity that carries through to a very fine-textured, succulent, long lingering finish. This is a rich, vibrant, dark red fruited Cabernet Franc with vibrant, fine-grained structure and mouthfeel. Serve with lamb, beef and venison over the next 8-10+ years.
