Bright, pale salmon-pink colour with some depth and lighter purple hues on the edge. This has a very fine and tight nose with good depth and intensity of watermelon and pomegranate aromas, along with soft red florals and a thirst-quenching amalgam of herbs and minerals. Dry to taste and light-medium bodied, the palate possesses a good core with delicate watermelon and pomegranate flavours, entwined with nuances of herbs and minerals. The mouthfeel is very fine-textured and features lacy acidity, lending a dry, refreshing mouthwatering mouthfeel. The flavours are expressed with subtlety as the flow to a clean, crisp, dry finish of florals and herbs. This is an elegant, dry rosé with delicate flavours of watermelon, pomegranate and herbs, and a thirst-quenching palate. Serve as an aperitif and with canapes over the next 2 years. 100% Merlot from the Havelock Hills, drained immediately and fermented in tank to 12.5% alc. and <2 g/L RS, the wine on light lees for 6 weeks. 17.0/20 Sep 2016 RRP $23.00
