Brilliant straw-yellow colour with light lemon-gold hues, lighter on the rim. The bouquet is intense and firmly concentrated with aromas of fresh nectarines, greengages and spicy green stonefruits entwined with complex layers of nutty oak with nuances of nutty and slightly resinous oak and hints of mint and camphor. Dry to taste and medium-full bodied, the palate is rounded and smooth in texture with a core of spicy green stonefruits, herbs and nutty oak. This has positive linearity. The barrel ferment creaminess and soft acidity is balanced by soft, dry textures that carry the wine to a moderately sustained finish of herbs, nectarines and greengages. This oak-influenced Sauvignon Blanc has an intense and complex bouquet and a rounded, smooth palate of green stonefruits, spices and nuts. Serve with herb-marinated poultry and pork dishes over the next 2-3 years.
