Bright, even, light golden-hued yellow colour, paler on the rim. The bouquet is firmly concentrated with aromas of white stonefruits entwined with steely lemon-curd MLF notes and nuances of nutty oak, unfolding subtle oxidative complexities with aeration. The nose is youthfully taut and fresh. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate has a rounded core of white stonefruits entwined with lemon-curd MLF, nutty and oxidative elements and oak complexities. The mouthfeel is steely and brisk with crisp acidity, and the wine flows with good energy along a fine line, leading to a taut finish of stonefruits and nuts. This is a light, but firm Chardonnay with a core of stonefruits, lemon-curd and oxidative detail on a brisk palate. Match with seafood dishes over the next 4 years. Hand-picked fruit from the ‘Dunnolly’ vineyard, indigenous yeast fermented in 450 L and 600 L puncheons to 12.5% alc., the wine aged on lees for 12 months in 20% new oak and 100% MLF. 16.5+/20 Jan 2017 RRP $30.00
