Bird ‘Old Schoolhouse Vineyard’ Marlborough Pinot Gris 2010

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 08-Feb-2011
Stainless-steel fermented at cool temperatures to 12.9% alc. This is an exotic Pinot Gris that shows a slight blush in the colour from skin contact. On bouquet this has lovely layered perfumes of yellow stonefruits with pears, florals and spices, as a delicate Gewurztraminer! Off-dry to taste at 5.1 g/L rs, this has rich spiced-pear and floral flavours that sit on a soft, textured palate. There is good weight and gentle acidity that makes this wine balanced and accessible to drink with mildly spiced Asian cuisine over the next 2-4 years. 17.5-/20 Feb 2011 RRP $24.95
