Big River Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2014

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 10-Mar-2015
Bright pale straw-yellow colour, very pale edged. The nose is light with fresh, uncomplicated fruit aromas of gooseberries and cut grass, passionfruit and a minerally nuance that gently grow in the glass. Dry to taste and light-bodied, restrained flavours of cut grass, herbs and green apples show on a crisp, acid-driven palate. The wine has a light phenolic, textured line that carries the fruit. The mouthfeel is rounded, with an edge of acidity that drives the palate to a dry, textured finish. This is a clean, crisp Sauvignon Blanc with straightforward gooseberry and grassy flavours. Serve as an aperitif and with salads and vegetables over the next 18 months. Marlborough fruit cool-fermented to 12.5% alc. and 3 g/L RS. 15.5/20 Mar 2015 RRP $12.95
