Big Bunch Hawke’s Bay Sauvignon Blanc 2014

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 31-Jul-2015
Brilliant pale straw colour with lemon-green hues, lighter on rim. This has a very fresh, well-concentrated nose of cooler spectrum fruit aromas, with gooseberries, cut grass, fresh herbs and nettles. The intensity of the aromatics grows with aeration, revealing chalky, minerally elements. Dry to taste and light-medium bodied, the palate is tightly bound and elegantly proportioned with tightly bound flavours of cut grass, sweet gooseberries, herbs and nettles. The fruit forms a good core and the wine follows a positive, finely textured line with lively acidity providing a refreshing, crisp and mouthwatering mouthfeel. The palate carries to a moderately long, grassy and herbal nuanced finish. This is an elegantly concentrated, crisp Sauvignon Blanc with cooler grassy and sweet herbal fruit, and a dry, fine line. Serve with seafood, salads and vegetables over the next 2 years. The second bottling of this label. Hawke’s Bay fruit fermented to 12.0% alc. 17.5-/20 Aug 2015 RRP $19.99
