Big Bunch Hawke’s Bay Pinot Gris 2016

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 28-Sep-2016
Bright, light straw-yellow colour, paler on the edge. This has a light, fresh, clean, up-front and uncomplicated nose of white stonefruits along with subtle white floral and mineral notes. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate is clear and clean with good depth of white stonefruit flavours along with soft white floral elements and minerals forming a rounded core. The mouthfeel has weight and presence encasing the light flavours. The wine follows a light, dry, grainy-textured line, with light, lacy acid energy, leading to a dry, textured finish showing white stonefruits and hints of honeysuckle. This is a clean, up-front, light, white stonefruited dry Pinot Gris with a grainy textural line and hints of honeysuckle on the finish. Match with most white meat dishes over the next 2 years. Hawke’s Bay fruit cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 12.5% alc. and 4.9 g/L RS. 16.0+/20 Sep 2016 RRP $19.99
