Bernhard & Reibel Alsace Gewurztraminer ‘Hahnenberg’ 2008

Gewurztraminer from France - Alsace
Review Date : 08-Sep-2011
14.0% alc. Pale straw-yellow with a pale edge to the colour, this has a musky, exotic bouquet with jasmine florals, earthy spices and flinty mineral notes, quite tightly bound. Dryish on palate, the fruit is tightly bound and light in expression. Though with good vinous presence and weight, the wine is crisp and lean, with delicate sweetness and softness hinting at the potential richer nature. Some exotic herb and luscious honey nuances show on the finish.  Sep 2011
