Bernard Dugat-Puy Bourgogne 2010

Pinot Noir from France - Burgandy
Review Date : 01-Aug-2012
From a small, highly respected family producer based at Aulmonerie, Gevrey-Chambertin. From vines with an average age of 35 y.o., the wine aged 12-18 months in 10% new oak. Approx. 300 dozen made. Bright crimson red with some depth. The bouquet is marked by earthy reduction that dissipates a little to reveal savoury dark berry fruits and game-like flavours with real intensity. Medium-full bodied, the reduction is more integral on palate, with an underlying suppleness of mouthfeel and sweetness on palate. Bright and energetic fruit with good ripeness and balanced acidity, the wine has a robustness and four-square nature. This shows Cotes de Nuits expression with a little rusticity. 6-8+ years. 16.5+/20 Jul 2012 RRP $55.99
