Bernard Defaix Bourgogne 2012

Pinot Noir from France - Burgandy
Review Date : 28-Nov-2013
From Auxerre, near Chablis, the wine aged in 2 and 3 y.o. oak. Dark, purple-hued ruby-red colour, even and full. This has a bold fruity nose of dark raspberries and cherries with a herbal underlay. The aromatics are robust and very primary, with some whole berry jammy fragrance. Light-bodied, this is up-front with primary raspberry fruit flavours along with jammy elements. The tannin extraction is modest, with the acidity prevalent, which leads to a sour cherry nuanced finish. A modern and straightforward style. 16.5/20 Nov 2013 RRP $38.00
