Bendigo Hills The Shepherd’s Hut Pinot Noir 2019, Central Otago

Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Central Otago & Waitaki
Review Date : 23-Feb-2022
Dark, ruby-black, lighter on edge, youthful in appearance. The nose is firmly concentrated, with deep aromas of black cherries, black raspberries, along with thyme and a layer of black pepper on the glass. Medium-full bodied, the palate features a firm and deep core of black cherries and raspberries with black pepper and subtle herb detail. The flavours are juicy and bright, enlivened by lively acidity and have good depth. The tannin extraction is refined and a feature of the mouthfeel, the textures silken and smooth. This is an elegant and bright Pinot Noir with youthful fruit aromas and a fine-structured plate. Match with pulled lamb and pork stew over the next 3-5 years. Organic certified, 13.5% alc. 18/20 pts (90 pts) Feb 2022 RRP $39
