Bendigo Hills The Cob Cottage Pinot Noir 2019, Central Otago

Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Central Otago & Waitaki
Review Date : 23-Feb-2022
Dark, ruby-red, lighter on the rim. The nose is softly full, with deep aromas of black cherries and plums, dark herb and a hint of roasted coffee beans. Medium-bodied, aromas of dried plums, black cherries and strawberries interweave very subtle dried herb and earthy notes. The palate has concentration and grainy tannin extraction adding to the structure. Fresh, lacy acidity enlivens the mouthfeel, lifts the fruit and is carried to a moderately sustained finish. This is a fresh and bright Pinot Noir with dark cherries, plums, firm structure and lively acidity. Match with pork and lamb dishes over the next 3-5 years. Organic certified, 13.5% alc. 18/20 pts (90 pts) Feb 2022 RRP $45
