Bel Echo ‘Terroir – Broadbridge’ Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2009

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 12-Feb-2011
Brilliant pale straw-yellow in colour with green hues, this has a full and deeply solid bouquet showing a range of aromas from fresh and brackish nettles, savoury pea, asparagus and bean developmental notes, passionfruit and earth. The palate is full, rich and dry, the alcohol is noticeable, but is well balanced with the weight and rounded textures. The wine has a harmony of its components, and finishes with good fresh acidity. Drink over the next 18 months to 2 years with country-style cuisine. 80% of the fruit was sourced from Broadbridge clays, 20% from Greywacke riverbed, stainless-steel fermented to 14.0% alc., and aged on fine lees for six months. 17.5/20 Jan 2011 RRP $24.00
