Bel Echo by Clos Henri ‘Terroir – Broadbridge’ Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2014

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 04-Jan-2016
Full, light straw-yellow colour with lemon green hues. The nose is gently full and voluminous with moderately deep aromas of ripe capsicums, passionfruit and tropical fruits melded harmoniously with florals and herbs. This grows in breadth and intensity with aeration. Dry to taste and medium-full bodied, the palate features open and mouthfilling flavours of red capsicums, tropical fruits and passionfruit with an exotic floral lift. Nuances of bean-like secondary development are also present, and the fruit forms a soft core with subtle phenolic textures and integrated acidity. The wine carries easily to a soft, full, lingering finish of passionfruit and capsicums. This is a soft, full, ripe Sauvignon Blanc with passionfruit and capsicum flavours and a positive core, just beginning to show some development. Serve with Mediterranean cuisine over the next 2 years. Fruit from the ‘Broadbridge’ and ‘Wither’ soils from vines 8-13 y.o., fermented in stainless-steel to 13.5% alc., the wine aged 6 months on lees with batonnage. Certified BioGro organic. 18.0-/20 Jan 2016 RRP $25.50
