Beaurenard ‘Boisrenard’ Chateauneuf du Pape 2009

Grenache from France - Rhone
Review Date : 17-May-2012
60% Grenache and a 40% mix of all the other permitted varieties, the wine aged 18 months in small oak barrels, a portion new. This is very dark, youthful, black-red in colour, and the bouquet powerfully dense and concentrated with ripe black fruits, already quite complex with oak spices and nuances of savoury interest. On palate, tight and concentrated flavours of black fruits show with sweetness and lusciousness, with beautifully balanced layers of earth, herbs and oak all in harmony. The serious structure of fine-grained tannins underlining the fruit will see this age 15+ years. A complete wine.  19.5+/20  May 2012  RRP $120.00
