Beaurenard ‘Boisrenard’ Chateauneuf du Pape 2005

Grenache from France - Rhone
Review Date : 17-May-2012
The luxury cuvee of the domaine, approx. 60% Grenache, the remainder a mix, from vines 60-100 y.o., aged in 20-25% new oak for 18 months. Deep ruby-red with purple edge, this has an intense and finely concentrated nose of fragrant red berry fruits with some savoury complexities. Beautifully expressive with its sweet, ripe red fruits, this is a wine with power, depth and refinement, framed within a highly extracted, fine-grained palate. This will keep 25-30 years. May 2011
