Beaumet Champagne ‘Cuvee Brut’ NV

Sparkling Wine from France - Champagne
Review Date : 24-Apr-2012
Pale straw-yellow colour, pale on rim, with a fine bead and moderate persistence. The nose is softly full with an attractive floral lift to the bright citrus and apply aromatics. Delicate yeasty autolysis shows, the nose even and with an easy breadth. Dry to taste, this has a lively palate with good effervescence, showing white stonefruit, floral and apple-like flavours and light bready nuances. A fine textural thread forms a good line and soft acidity results in a gentle mouthfeel, but good quenchability. Light apple and bready notes linger on the finish This is a soft, fresh and undemanding Champagne to serve as an aperitif and with seafood over the next 2+ years. A blend of around 30 crus, based on 40% Pinot Noir, 30% Chardonnay and 30% Pinot Meunier, with a dosage of 9 g/L. 17.0+/20 Apr 2012 RRP $44.99
