Beaumet Champagne ‘Brut Vintage’ 2004

Sparkling Wine from France - Champagne
Review Date : 24-Apr-2012
Bright straw-yellow colour with light lemon hues, god fine bubble and persistence. Intense and penetrating aromas of white florals and citrus fruits are combined with definite bready autolysis interest feature on bouquet. Dry and crisp with a tight, steely concentration, citrus fruits florals and toasty notes are interwoven with excellent brioche-like autolysis. The palate is very fine featured and finely textured, with lacy acidity and energetic effervescence, and flows harmoniously. The depth and concentration carries through to a tightly bound, lingering finish with subtle flavours of citrus and yeastiness. This is a tight and concentrated wine with elegance, just beginning to show some toasty interest. Drink with seafood and poultry over the next 3-5 years. A blend of around 10 crus, 90% Chardonnay and 10% Pinot Noir. 18.0/20 Apr 2012 RRP $54.99
