Full, dark, purple-hued ruby-red colour, youthful in appearance. The nose is bright with up-front, vibrant aromas of black cherry and dark-red berry fruits interwoven with thyme herb and violet florals, unfolding notes of raspberry liqueur and liquorice. The nose has good depth and intensity. Medium-full bodied, the palate features bright, bold and juicy flavours of dark red berry and black cherry fruit entwined with thyme herb and floral elements. The mouthfeel is lively with fresh acidity and quite open and accessible with supple tannin structure. This has good drive and the wine carries to a long, soft and dry-textured finish with dark raspberry and liquorice nuances. This is an up-front, juicy, dark cherry and raspberry fruited Pinot Noir with an open, accessible palate. Serve with lamb, beef and venison over the next 4+ years. Clone 5, 6, Abel and a mix of Dijon fruit from the ‘Folding Hill’ vineyard, hand-picked and fermented, partially with indigenous yeasts to 14.0% alc., the wine aged 10 months in 20% new oak. 18.0/20 Mar 2016 RRP $32.00
