Bald Hills ‘Friends and Lovers’ Central Otago Rosé 2010

Rose from New Zealand - Otago
Review Date : 16-May-2011
Bright, light pink colour with youthful, pale purple edge, this is redolent of crushed strawberries and raspberries, the nose clean, clear and fresh, very appealing and mouthwatering. Dry on palate, there is some depth of flavour. Fresh raspberries with light herb notes show, the wine possessing excellent liveliness and fresh acidity. The wine has a light textural grip and some alcohol contributes to the body and length. Made from Pinot Noir clones 5, 6, 10/5 and Abel, given 48 hours skin contact, and fermented to 13.24% alc., with 5 g/L rs. 18% was fermented in neutral, seasoned oak. Serve with antipasto, cold meats, salads and poultry over the next 2 years. 17.5-/20 May 2011 RRP $23.00
