Baby Doll Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2012

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 14-Feb-2013
Bright pale straw-yellow colour with lemon-green hues, pale on edge. This has a full, rich nose of ripe gooseberry fruit and passionfruit, revealing minerally nuances, all solidly presented, showing good depth. Dry to taste, full, up-front and rich flavours of gooseberries and tropical fruits fill the palate. The mouthfeel is soft, with delicate textures and soft, lacy acidity in support. A little alcohol drive provides linearity that carries the flavours to a soft, lingering passionfruity finish. This is a soft and juicy Sauvignon Blanc with passionfruit flavours. Serve with first courses over the next 2 years. 65% Seaview and 35% Wairau fruit from eight sites, cool-fermented to 13.0% alc. and 4.1 g/L rs. 17.0/20 Feb 2013 RRP $18.95
