Baby Doll Marlborough Pinot Gris 2012

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 14-Feb-2013
Five parcels of fruit from the ‘Seaview' vineyard, cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.0% alc. and 4 g/L rs. Bright, light straw-yellow colour, lighter on edge. The nose is full, bold and up-front with yellow stonefruit and exotic tropical fruit aromas, lifted with floral and esters notes. Dryish to taste and medium-bodied, bright and aromatic fruit flavours of stonefruits and tropical fruits form an elegant and slender palate core and line. Fresh and lively acidity adds a lusciousness to the mouthfeel and the flavours flow smoothly to a crisp, dry and moderately sustained finish. This is a very aromatic Pinot Gris with an elegant, juicy palate. Match with tapas and antipasto over the next 2-3 years. 16.5/20 Feb 2013 RRP $18.95
