Babich ‘Lone Tree’ Hawke’s Bay Sauvignon Blanc 2012

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 28-Nov-2012
Bright, pale straw-yellow colour, light on rim. This has a light bouquet of ripe stonefruits with subtle herb and mineral nuances, along with hints of gooseberries, building to show good presence. Dry to taste and light weighted, clean flavours of gooseberries and herbs are supported by racy acidity, providing good freshness. The flavours flow smoothly and with positive drive to a moderately sustained finish with floral and stonefruit elements. This is a dry, straightforward, clean and racy Sauvignon Blanc to serve with antipasto and seafood over the next 2 years. Fruit from the company's two estate vineyards in Hawke's Bay, cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 11.5% alc. and 2.6 g/L rs. 16.0+/20 Nov 2012 RRP $15.00
