Babich ‘Lone Tree’ Hawke’s Bay Sauvignon Blanc 2010

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 24-Jun-2011
Brilliant, full straw-yellow colour, this has a softly fresh and gentle nose of ripe tropical fruits, gooseberries and herbs. Dry to taste, this is a well-weighted wine with restrained herb and nectarine-like fruit flavours, enlivened by racy, slippery acidity. The subtle flavours, good body and presence, as well as the crisp freshness will allow the wine to match a range of full-flavoured and textured foods over the next 2-3 years. Fruit from Hawke's Bay cool-fermented to 12.5% alc. and 4.1 g/L rs, the wine spending 2 months on lees. 16.5-/20 Jun 2011 RRP $15.00
