Babich Hawke’s Bay Chardonnay 2012

Chardonnay from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 25-Jan-2013
Bright, full, lemon-hued straw-yellow colour. The nose is light and restrained with subtle aromatic stonefruit notes expressed with simplicity and freshness. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, fresh, but subtle flavours of citrus and stonefruits show with good vinosity and presence, underlined by crisp acidity. The mouthfeel is dry, with a fine textured line that leads to a dry finish featuring citrus and white stonefruit notes. This is a clean, fresh, dry unoaked Chardonnay to serve with antipasto and seafood over the next 18 months. Fruit from two company-owned Hawke's Bay vineyards, stainless-steel fermented to 13.0% alc. and 2.9 g/L rs, the wine bottled without oak contact. 16.0/20 Jan 2013 RRP $20.00
