Babich ‘Family Estates’ ‘Individual Vineyard – Tetley Brook‘ Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2013

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 19-Mar-2014
Bright, even straw-yellow colour, pale on rim. The nose is soft with pure aromas of ripe gooseberry fruit, nettles and herbs, along with notes of sweet peas and chalky minerals. Dry to taste, soft and gentle fruit flavours of fresh herbs, lifted sweet peas form a gentle core that builds in depth and density. The acidity is soft, contributing to a mellow mouthfeel that opens smoothly with good volume. The flavours carry through to a moderately lingering, chalky and dry finish. This is a soft, building Sauvignon Blanc with distinctive sweet peas aromas and flavours. Serve with dim sum or tapas over the next 2 years. Fruit from the ‘Tetley Brook’ vineyard, Awatere Valley, cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 14.0% alc. and 7.3 g/L RS. 17.5+/20 Mar 2014 RRP $25.00
