Babich ‘Black Label’ Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2010

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 08-Feb-2011
The ‘Black Label' wine is designed as an on-premise only wine. All Marlborough fruit mainly stainless-steel fermented with a small portion fermented in seasoned barriques to 14.0% alc. Very pale coloured with straw-green hues, this has a full, soft nose of herbs, ripe gooseberries passionfruit and minerals. Dry to taste, this has a beautifully soft, broad and mouthfilling palate. The passionfruit and gooseberry flavours have a sweet, lusciousness to the expression and this is enhanced by rounded, pleasing textures. The wine has excellent freshness and a long, sustained finish. Drink with seafood and poultry over the next 2-3 years. 18.5/20 Jan 2011 RRP On-premise only
