B.wine Sauvignon Blanc 2021, Martinborough

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Wairarapa & Wellington
Review Date : 20-Dec-2021
Bright, even, pale yellow with a hint of green sheen. The nose is softly full, sweet aromas of guava, apple, tamarillo, entwined with green herb and a hint of white spice. Medium-light bodied, nuances of apple, pear, tamarillo and guava underlined lime, unfolding tomato vine, white spice dusting and a lick of sea salt. The wine has a good concentration of fruit and acidity balance; moderately creamy added texture and weight to the palate. Salinity on the close, leaving a moreish finish. This is a savoury, complex Sauvignon Blanc that features texture and concentration. Match with Chinese dim sum and pork chops over the next 3-4 years. Handpicked, whole bunch pressed, fermented to 13% alc, aged 50% in seasoned oak and 50% steel tank for 5 months. 1,216 bottles produced. 18.5-/20 (92 pt) Dec 2021 RRP $26
