B.wine Pinot Gris 2021, Martinborough

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Wairarapa & Wellington
Review Date : 20-Dec-2021
Bright, pale golden-yellow, even colour throughout. The nose is warm and concentrated with nuances of yellow stonefruit, pear entwined with five-spice and honeysuckle. Medium-full bodied, dry to taste, succulent fruit of pear, apricot and lemon have a bright core, adorned by honeysuckle and five-spice details. The wine possesses lively acidity, carries refined phenolic throughout the palate, leaves a smooth and oily mouthfeel. The fruit has subtleties and concentration, provides depth, and spice emphasised and drew a long finish. This is a lush Pinot Gris with excellent lively acidity and spice interest. Match with chilli & lemongrass pork and Mussels Kilpatrick over the next 3-5 years. 18.5/20 pts (93 pts) Dec 2021 RRP $28
