B.wine Martinborough Pinot Gris 2022, Wairarapa

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Wairarapa & Wellington
Review Date : 20-Dec-2022
Bright, even, pale straw yellow. The nose is elegant, softly penetrating aromas of orchard fruit, delicate spice, pear blossom and talcum overlay. Medium-light bodied, dry-ish to taste, pear and green apple aromas growing in lengthy, crisp acidity elevate and carry delicate spice and subtle pear blossom to a refreshing, elegant finish. Fine-textured phenolics contribute to a slight grip reminiscent of pear skin. This elegant Pinot Gris features a refreshing acid line and carries well-portioned fruit, floral and spice details. Match with fish tacos and siu mai over the next 3-4 years. Handpicked, whole bunch pressed, fermented 13% alc, aged in seasoned oak for 5 months. 1,003 bottles produced. 18.5/20 pts (93 pts) Dec 2022 RRP $30
