B.wine Lime Hill Vineyard Pinot Noir 2020, Wairarapa

Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Wairarapa & Wellington
Review Date : 20-Dec-2022
Bright, deep crimson, slightly lighter on edge. The bouquet is concentrated and alluring, with aromas of dried herb, spice and minerals underlying floral, black cherry and blackberry. Medium-full bodied, tightly bound aromas of black cherry and blackberry entwined with violet, Provencal herbs, cinnamon, nutmeg and flinty minerals. The fruit is sweet and concentrated, show depth in flavour and a dense appeal. Finely-woven tannins provide framework and vitality. This elegant, tightly bound Pinot Noir is still in its youth, with multilayers and a fine-tannin structure. Serve decanted, match with lamb rack and hare over the next 10 years. Handpicked, fermented with 15% whole bunches to 13.5% alc, aged 12 months in French oak barrels, 20% new oak. 1,968 bottles produced. 19+/20 pts (96 pts) Dec 2022 RRP $58
