Bright, pale yellow with a greenish shade, even colour throughout. The nose is enticing with layers of lemon curd, stonefruit, spice, minerals and subtle roasted nuts. Medium-bodied, aromas of lemon curd, lime sherbet and peach bound elegantly, enveloping delicate spice, vanilla, minerals and subtle hazelnut and cinnamon buns. Refined, chalky minerals adorned the mouthfeel alongside a creamy yoghurty line supported by acid precision. Well-proportioned oak contributes to spice and interest. This sleek, harmonious Chardonnay shows pristine fruit with a complimenting acid line, well-proportioned oak details and an ethereal, silky, chalky mouthfeel. Match with langoustine and whitebait over the next 5-7 years. Handpicked, Mendoza clone, whole bunch pressed, aged 12 months in barrel on full lees, 20% new oak. 19+/20 pts (96 pts) Dec 2022 RRP $58
