Awatere River ‘Ward Block’ Marlborough Rosé 2015

Rose from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 05-Sep-2015
Bright, pale pink colour with purple hues, lighter on the rim. The nose is elegantly presented with lifted, fragrant aromas of strawberry and red cherry fruit along with fresh fermentation esters entwined with confectionary and subtle herbal elements. This is refreshing and mouthwatering. Off-dry to taste and medium-bodied, delicately succulent flavours of strawberries and cherries are lifted by bright floral and cherry fruit pastille notes. The moutheel is refreshing and thirst-quenching with mouthwatering, lacy acidity and the wine follows an elegant, fine line carrying through to a bright, aromatic finish of strawberry confectionary and herbs. This is an elegant, delicately succulent, off-dry rosé with aromatic fruit and a refreshing mouthfeel. Serve as an aperitif, with dim sum and tapas over the next 2 years. Hand-picked Abel clone fruit from a single vineyard in Ward, given 4 hours kin contact and cool-fermented to 12.5% alc. and 5.1 g/L RS. 18.0-/20 Sep 2015 RRP $23.00
