Brilliant straw-yellow colour with light green-gold hues, pale edged. The nose is gently full and voluminous with aromas of white and yellow stonefruits, citrus fruit, barrel-ferment nutty elements an complexing oxidative nuances that build in depth and density. Medium-full bodied, the palate has a deep and concentrated core of citrus and stonefuits entwined with nutty notes. The palate is guided by a fine-textured line with good grip, and enlivened by fresh, bright, steely acidity. The wine carries through to a grainy, dry finish with subtle barrel-ferment nutty and citrus flavours. This is a firm-textured, bright and lively Chardonnay with complex citrus and nutty flavours. Serve with seafood, poultry and pork over the next 4-5 years. Estate fruit hand-picked and WBP, barrel-fermented, partially by indigenous yeasts to 14.0% alc., the wine aged on lees in French oak barriques. 18.0/20 Oct 2014 RRP $33.75
