Auntsfield Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2010

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 24-Mar-2011
Very pale straw-yellow with youthful green hues to the colour, this has a soft, full nose of sweetly ripe passionfruit and tropical fruit aromas, with some pungency and lifted estery nuances. Dry to taste, this is full and rich with weighty tropical fruit flavours filling the palate. Lovely herb and mineral elements along with fresh acidity provide excellent liveliness. The textures are smooth and slippery and enhance the richness. This is classic, fulsome Wairau Valley Sauvignon Blanc that will be a good match with salads, vegetables, seafood, Pacific Rim and Mediterranean cuisine over the next 3-4 years. Made from fruit from the Auntsfield estate cool-fermented in stainless-steel, 15% with wild yeast in seasoned oak to 13.5% alc. 18.5-/20 Mar 2011 RRP $22.95
