Ataahua Waipara Riesling 2013

Riesling from New Zealand - Canterbury & Waipara
Review Date : 08-Jan-2014
Indigenous yeast fermented in stainless-steel to 12.0% alc. and 20 g/L RS. Full, even, light golden-hued lemon-yellow colour. The nose is full, broad and solidly packed with aromas of yellow florals, honey and exotic musk notes, revealing an underlying, edgy, lime fruit and mineral freshness. Medium-sweet and medium bodied, up-front and open flavours of aromatic florals, honey and musk are melded with citrus and stonefruits and fresh herb detail. Fine, grainy textures and lively acidity provide a supporting line that carries the palate to a complex finish with an array of floral and honied nuances. This is a full, open, medium Riesling with an array of exotic floral, honey, musk and herbal flavours and a lively mouthfeel. Serve as an aperitif or with Asian and Middle Eastern fare over the next 4 years. 17.5+/20 Jan 2014 RRP $24.00
