Ata Rangi Martinborough Sauvignon Blanc 2014

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Wairarapa & Wellington
Review Date : 21-Oct-2014
Bright, pale straw with green glints. The nose is soft and a little shy, with gentle gooseberry fruit and herb aromas, the delicacy allied to harmony and balance. Dry, quite so, a little austerity even, and thirst-quenching with a very fine textural line which the subtle green stonefruit and herbal flavours follow. The fruit blooms with sweetness and presence on mid-palate onwards, and finishes well. A Loire look-alike, and one for those who prefer subtlety. 20% barrel-fermented by indigenous yeasts and lees aged, 25% going through MLF and some fermented on skins. 13.5% alc. This will be interesting follow with time in bottle. 18.0/20 Oct 2014 RRP $27.50
