Ata Rangi Martinborough Pinot Noir 2008

Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Wairarapa & Wellington
Review Date : 30-Jun-2014
A benign growing season with high yields. Dark ruby-red colour with a slightly lighter edge. The nose has an array of perfumes and aromatics, with red berry fruits and florals along with darker boysenberry elements and notes of jam all interwoven with harmony. Elegantly proportioned, sweet, juicy and plush flavours of red berry fruits and plum jam feature on a supple and very accessible palate. Subtle savoury red fruit characters add some dimension. Very fine-grained tannins form a fine-textured line and balanced, soft acidity lends brightness. The wine flows smoothly and effortlessly to a soft, nuanced finish. This is an elegant, accessibly supple wine with aromatic qualities and finesse. Drink over the next 5+ years. 18.5-/20 Jun 2014 RRP $N/A
