Ashwell Martinborough Sauvignon Blanc 2015

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Wairarapa & Wellington
Review Date : 03-Oct-2015
Bright, pale straw-yellow colour with some lemon-green hues, pale on rim. The nose is gentle with aromas of tropical fruits and green stonefruits entwined with subtle herb and gooseberry notes aling with delicate, piquant mineral suggestions. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate features soft, fresh flavours of green stonefruits, tropical fruits and herbs. The mouthfeel possesses light, dry, phenolic textures and lacy acidity providing a mouthwatering palate line. The fruit recedes as it flows, leading to a clean, dry, light finish. This is a light, mouthwatering, dry Sauvignon Blanc with tropical fruit and herb flavours. Match with Mediterranean fare and salads and vegetables over the next 2 years. Fruit from the ‘Ashwell’ vineyard fermented in stainless-steel to 13.5% alc. 16.5/20 Oct 2015 RRP $20.00
