Deep ruby-red with a black core, slightly lighter on the rim. The nose is rich, with aromas of blackberry, plum, dried herb, tapenade, black pepper and spice. Full-bodied, aromas of blackberry and plum entwined with boysenberry, unfolding cigar, dried herb, tapenade, black pepper and toasty spice. The fruit shows purity and concentration, supported by fresh acidity. Velvety tannins show firmness and vigour, unveiling stony minerals, rich herb and spice. An elegant, captivating wine with power and strength. Match with roasted lamb shoulder and venison over the next 15 years. Fermented to 13% alc. 19+/20 pts (96 pts) Aug 2025 RRP $100
