Artero La Mancha Tempranillo 2013

Tempranillo from Spain
Review Date : 03-Jul-2014
Dark, deep, near impenetrable, black-hued purple-red colour, youthful in appearance. This has an open, up-front and accessible bouquet with ripe fruited aromas of raspberry and dark red berry fruit, quite primary and lifted in expression, along with savoury jam and confectionary elements. Dryish to taste, vibrant and juicy raspberry and jam flavours are intermixed with florals and strawberry bon-bons. The palate is marked by grainy tannins providing a hearty and rustic texture, with the acidity enhancing the fruit sweetness. The wine carries through to a textured, juicy finish. This is a bright and up-front, juicy Tempranillo country red with grainy tannins. Serve with tapas, pizza, pasta, and barbecued fare over the next 3 years. Tempranillo from La Mancha fermented to 13.5% alc. 16.5+/20 Jul 2014 RRP $12.99
