Aronui ‘Single Vineyard’ Nelson Riesling 2014

Riesling from New Zealand - Nelson
Review Date : 03-Nov-2014
Bright, even, light straw-yellow colour with slight green hues. The nose is full with ripe fruit aromas of yellow stonefruits and apricots, lifted by exotic floral and tropical fruit notes, honey and some confectionary elements. Medium-dry to taste and medium-light bodied, the palate has an array of exotic fruit and floral flavours with limes, apricots and honey at the core. The mouthfeel is soft from restrained acidity and the palate is carried by fine, dry, textures. Some confectionary and esters lift emerges and leads to an aromatic, off-dry finish. This is an attractively exotic, aromatic, medium-dry Riesling with fine dry textures and some confectionary lift. Serve as an aperitif, and with Asian or Middle Eastern fare over the next+ years. Fruit from the ‘Hunter Block’ vineyard on the Waimea Plains, cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 12.0% alc. and 11 g/L RS, TA 6.7 g/L and pH 3.11. 17.5+/20 Nov 2014 RRP $21.95
