Aronui ‘Single Vineyard’ Nelson Pinot Gris 2012

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Nelson
Review Date : 13-Mar-2013
Fruit from the company’s ‘Whenua Matua’ site, cool-fermented in stainless-steel, with 10% in barrel and given batonnage, to 14.0% alc. and 3.5 g/L rs. Very pale straw colour with slight green hues, near colourless on edge. The bouquet is fresh and upfront with light aromas of yellow stonefruits and florals, revealing herb and mineral notes in the glass. Dry to taste and medium-light bodied, faintly succulent, uncomplicated flavours of stonefruits, pears and florals show with some body and presence. The acidity is balanced and offers freshness and the palate has some alcohol drive underlining the flavours, leading to a dry finish. This is a fresh and light dry Pinot Gris with some alcoholic drive and body. Serve as an aperitif or with tapas over the next 2 years. 15.5-/20 Mar 2013 RRP $21.95
