Aronui ‘Single Vineyard’ Nelson Albarino 2015

Other White from New Zealand - Nelson
Review Date : 19-Dec-2016
Full, straw-yellow colour with some green-gold hues, a little lighter edged. The bouquet is elegantly concentrated with good depth and penetrating intensity of white florals entwined with subtle notes of white stonefruits and citrus fruit, along with mineral detail. The aromatics are pure and fresh. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, this has a fine and tight core with intense flavours of white florals, white stonefruits and citrus zest. The fruit is bright and lively, with suggestions of lusciousness, and the mouthfeel is crisp and refreshing with brisk acidity. The wine follows a very fine-textured line leading to a lingering finish of white floral and stonefruits, citrus and saline elements. This is an elegant, intensely flavoured, dry Albarino with white floral, stonefruit and citrus fruit on a fine-textured, refreshing palate. Serve with seafood and Asian cuisine over the next 3 years. Fruit from the ‘Whenua Matua’ vineyard, hand-picked and transported to the Marlborough winery for fermentation in stainless-steel to 13.5% alc. and 7.4 g/L RS, TA 8.4 g/L and pH 3.18 the wine aged 2 months in tank. 17.5+/20 Dec 2016 RRP $24.95
