Aronui ‘Single Vineyard’ Nelson Albarino 2014

Other White from New Zealand - Nelson
Review Date : 03-Nov-2014
Bright, pale straw-yellow colour with light green hues, lighter edged. This has a light, steely and tightly bound nose with delicate aromas of white florals, lime fruit, herbs and mouthwatering wet-stone minerals. Dry to taste and light-medium bodied, light fruit flavours of acacia florals and steely minerals are enriched by subtle citrus notes. The mouthfeel is elevated in acidity and is racy and zesty, the palate slippery in flow. The textures are well-handled and delicate. This has good drive and freshness, the flavours leading to a tight, lively and lingering finish. This is a light, racy and steely, mouthwatering Albarino with white floral flavours. Match with seafood over the next 3 years. First crop from the ‘Whenua Matua’ vineyard, Upper Moutere, hand-picked and cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.0% alc. and 4 g/L RS, TA 9.2 g/L and pH 2.94, the wine aged 2 months on lees. 16.5-/20 Nov 2014 RRP $24.95
