Aronui Nelson Chardonnay 2015

Chardonnay from New Zealand - Nelson
Review Date : 11-Oct-2017
Bright, even, straw-yellow colour with lemon-gold hues, a little paler on edge. The nose is full and gently voluminous with fresh aromas of ripe yellow stonefruits and citrus fruit along with creamy barrel-ferment and nutty oak notes entwined with subtle lemon-curd MLF and toasty detail. Medium-full bodied, the palate has fresh and lively flavours of yellow stonefruits and citrus fruit with complexing creamy barrel-ferment and nutty oak notes that gently fill the mouth. The wine is fresh and bright with crisp acidity, and the wine flows along a light-textured phenolic line, unfolding toasty elements as it leads to a moderately sustained finish. This is a lively citrus-fruited Chardonnay with creamy and nutty oak on a gently mouthfilling palate which reveals toasty elements. Serve with grilled and roasted seafood, poultry and pork dishes over the next 4 years. Nelson fruit, hand-picked and WBP, and fully barrel-fermented, a portion by indigenous yeasts to 13.5% alc., the wine aged 10 months in 15% new oak, undergoing batonnage and 100% MLF. 18.0/20 Oct 2017 RRP $24.95
