Archangel Central Otago Pinot Gris 2015

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Otago
Review Date : 20-Jun-2017
Bright straw-yellow colour with slight golden hues and some depth, a little lighter on the rim. The nose is soft and gently full with good vinous volume, but subtle fruit expression, showing white and yellow stonefruits, yellow florals along with nuances of savoury minerals. Dryish to taste and medium-full bodied, the palate has a well-concentrated core with good presence and weight, showing restrained fruit flavours of white and yellow stonefruits, pears and florals, and nuances of savoury minerals. The fruit flavours grow in depth and follow a fine, dry-textured line with integrated acidity, carrying to a crisp, dry finish of white stonefruits. This dry Pinot Gris has good body and presence, with subtle fruit flavours of stonefruits, florals and minerals. Match with most white meat courses over the next 3 years. Berrysmith clone fruit, hand-picked and fermented in stainless-steel to 14.0% alc. and 5.5 g/L RS. Approx. 600 cases made. 17.0+/20 Jun 2017 RRP $25.00
