Aravin Central Otago Pinot Rosé 2015

Rose from New Zealand - Otago
Review Date : 28-Sep-2015
Bright, light, candyfloss pink with light purple hues, very pale edged. This is very fresh on the nose with light, pure, red cherry fruit aromas lifted by pink florals, interwoven with piquant, mouthwatering herbal elements. Dryish to taste and light-medium bodied, fresh, tightly bound flavours of red cherries, cranberries and red florals feature on the palate. Subtle herbal notes emerge and combine with thirst-quenching lacy acidity to provide a refreshing and lively mouthfeel. The palate is underlines by very fine, dry textures that carry the wine to a light, dry finish with cherry and floral nuances. This is a light, refreshing off-dry rosé with pure cherry and floral fruit, and subtle herb notes and a fine textured palate. Serve as an aperitif and with canapes over the next 2 years. A blend of clones 667 and Abel, picked early and given 36 hours skin contact, cool-fermented to 12.0% alc. and 9 g/L RS, the wine aged 3 months on lees. 16.5+/20 Oct 2015 RRP $20.00
